The colour scheme is very bright, and this is followed with the high key lighting, the bright and contrasting photo, also with the contrasting colours used for the text as well. The picture is the main object for the frame, and when looking over the cover, you firstly notice the picture which shows the close relationship of the band, and also the expressions suggests that they are very serious and have an attitude about themselves. The magazine uses many quotes on it's front covers, as it quotes Kasabian for saying "Oasis have gone. WE are the biggest band in Britain now!" The capitalised we suggests that the band are serious on this point, and believe that everyone should just assume that they have overtaken Oasis in popularity and success. The magazine uses exclamation marks, bold and italics, to stress the different emphasis for certain words. This adds a different effect to how the reader would read the magazine, and the wording may attract the reader to want to read more of the magazine, as the wording throught is set to try to leave the reader hanging, and attract them to want to find out more. The preferred reading of the text I believe is mainstream, but it's also quite cool and rebellious as well. For example with the "Oasis have gone. WE are the biggest band in Britain now!" This hence suggests that the magazine is quite rebellious and alternative.
